10x17:
Maggie has been living last 5 years with Georgie's group in Tennessee. They were unfortunately attacked by a group called The Reapers and almost everyone was killed. Georgie is unknown.
The Reapers have been hunting Maggie and her group ever since that moment. They kidnap Hershel during the episode but he is rescued and the Reapers defeated. There is a big battle with explosions and snipers.
Maggie and Hershel cross paths with Negan twice. At the start of the ep where Negan tries to talk to Maggie and at the end where they return to Alexandria and Negan is in his prisoner suit doing lumberyard work. He looks at Hershel with a guilty look.
We briefly see Elijah (ninja) unmasked and he shares moments with Kelly.
10x18
Daryl meets Leah in the woods and forms a relationship with her. It's implied they had sex but is not shown. Leah is the one who gave Dog the name "Dog".
Leah's backstory is that she was part of a group with her sister and her sister's son. After she lost her sister, she adopted her son. And she eventually lost her son due to a walker bite and had him buried behind the cabin.
Leah tells Daryl he has to decide where he wants to be. Daryl chooses to be with her but when he returns to her cabin she is gone. He leaves a note asking her to find him because they belong together. At the end of the ep, Carol tells Daryl he is not to blame for all these losses and he doesn't have to be the hero all the time. Daryl then blames her for her reckless actions.
